Firstly, Mandi's posted a smextacular review of By the Book over on her blog.

Daniel has tattoos and wears guyliner and loves to drink and have sex. (Can I claim him?) Daniel is a great match for Reece because he flirts so unabashedly. Reece describes him as “a cocky little shit,” and he knows it! And he is so very, very naughty.

This is the second book I have read by Scarlett Parrish – and both of them have grabbed me immediately. I love her characters – I am greatly entertained by their sarcastic humor and wicked thoughts. Further, her sex scenes are very well done. The combination of really dirty scenes and my love for the characters makes her books very memorable.

What worked: Daniel Cross. The End. Ok, there’s more. Pretty much everything worked for me in this story. I think this is one of the sexiest love triangles I’ve read and I really enjoyed every minute of this book. The sexual tension, the emotional connection between Reece and Georgia/ Reece and Daniel, and Daniel’s heart breaking struggle to make it all work had me riveted.

What didn’t work: There’s not really anything that didn’t work that I want to point out. I really liked this book.
