Win a signed (or singed) print copy of Long Time Coming

Two years ago today I typed 'the end' on my first draft of Long Time Coming. It had taken me five and a half months to write 148k words (yes, really) and I marked the occasion by bursting into tears.

(Don't worry; the published copy is a much-more-respectable and easier-on-the-eye 85k words in total).

From there, it took just over a year to be published because instead of editing and subbing it right away, I worked on other first drafts and laid LTC aside.

Now, however, it's available from Carnal Passions in print and ebook format.

And if you're interested in finding out exactly why I burst into tears when I finished the first draft, Fiction Vixen herself picked up on the reason with this little section of her review:
There is an emotional build-up to the ending and I loved that. The final line in the book is like a long awaited emotional release where you can finally let out the breath you didn’t know you holding.
I'm really pleased if the reader picks up on that, because it's exactly how I felt when five and a half months' work came to a close, and, I'll freely admit, I was a little bit sad too.

The rest of the review appears here, and to mark my two-year Leo-versary, Fiction Vixen is giving those who leave a comment the chance to win a signed (or singed) print copy of Long Time Coming.

What are you waiting for? Go leave a comment, you dorty feckers!

  3. Well, with a title like that...

Actually I suspect I'll have the old Quireboys song of the same name rattling around my head for the whole day. And that's me about to leave South Mims Services and head off to a Serious Meeting too.
